Hooker Glacier, South Island New Zealand.
I was so determined to see this glacier! So determined in fact my parents and I walked through a blizzard full of snow, wind and rain. Definitely the coldest (and most uncomfortable) place during my New Zealand trip - but well worth it! By the time we made it there was an eerie calm and the snow lifted. It was such an achievement getting to the glacier ...but realising we had to walk all the way back was ....a challenge  The textures and patterns of the glacier amaze me  |
